Dating from circa 1810, with the typical Georgian plain sides to the case edge, tapering to top and bottom. It has the benefit of an interior privacy bolt which is operated by the brass finger slide seen to the lower left edge. The latch is turned by a pair of door knobs (suitable ones can be found here) and accepts an imperial standard size 5/16" (8mm) square lock spindle. The trefoil headed key is a later replacement made to suit. The case and keep have been re-finished with a satin black powder coating. Fully refurbished and supplied in full working order ready to fit.
