A superb quality pair dating from circa 1900. The reeded beehive pattern is to the knob's edge, this not only makes them attractive, but also aids grip, this continues to the knob face, finishing with a roundel to the centre. The knobs turn freely on their matching back plates, these have four "ears" for the countersunk fixing holes, another unusual and attractive feature. They accept, and are supplied with a standard 5/16" square lock spindle. All have been checked and re-polished here in our workshops, and are now virtually as good as new. Matching key hole escutcheons can usually be found here.
