Dating from around 1820, and restored to full working order (this restoration was carried out prior to us buying the lock, it has a weld repair internally, and although no attention should be needed for another 100 years or so, taking it apart would require the weld cutting through, not impossible but it has to be pointed out). The case has been powder coated in satin black. The lock works with a good positive action when operated by the replacement Victorian key. It has an interior sliding privacy bolt, operated by the brass snib seen to lower left of case. The keep is a later replacement.
