Original Georgian locks are now getting much harder to find, especially in the larger sizes such as this one, made around 200 years ago. This has it's original wire bow key, the matching frame keep is a replacement made to suit. The whole stripped and restored to full working order, the case having been powder coated in a satin black finish.
This has the benefit of a sliding privacy bolt (operated by the brass thumb slide seen lower left of case). It accepts the imperial standard 5/16" (8mm) square spindle for door knobs. For left hand fitting when viewed from the lock side of the door.
